I finally got the extra push to complete this sweater that I have been working on for over a year. (Thanks to Liz and her Project CPR). Despite taking so long to knit, this was actually a fairly simple knit. The only modifications I made to this sweater were to do a rib knit around the neckline instead of the crochet border (my crochet skills are just so-so) and to add about twenty additional rows to the bodice of the sweater to prevent it from looking like a crop top.
I have to laugh when I read the description of the sweater: Want to feel all luxurious and silky, but still be warm! Then knit this pet of a jumper in fine Angora wool. The bow can be demure or cheeky as you please. Well I am going to go with cheeky ;)
With the delicate lace pattern (which I love!) this sweater absolutely calls for something underneath. I happen to have a tank top in almost the exact color of this sweater. It seems a perfect match, but still allows you to see the details in the lace.
Most of these pictures were taken in the kitchen area of my home. Sorry that I'm not showing it all off - it's a bit messy since hubby and I spent the morning making borscht in preparation for hosting Christmas this year.
Live in this moment and love life!
